Application Forms

The application is available only line. The application covers not only your academic background, but also your extracurricular activities and personal interests. Your leadership experience and career goals are of particular interest to Project Stepping Stone application reviewers. So be thorough in telling us your story.

Accepted applicants are expected to participate in the program with 100 percent completion, including attendance of all workshops and social functions listed in the program guide, as well as abiding by the guidelines and code of conduct for the program. We suggest that you work on the essay questions before you start the online application process. This will give you time to think about the essays, type them up and make sure there are no spelling errors. If you type it up and save it, you will be able to "cut and paste" the essay into the online application. This will save you time. Here are the essay question we will be using this year:

1. Describe a leadership role that you have had within a school club, sport, extracurricular activity, work, home or church group, etc. What did you learn from this leadership experience? (150 - 250 words)

2. French poet and novelist Anatole France said, "To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe." Please share with us one of your dreams in life. (150 - 250 words)

3. Imagine that you have the opportunity to travel back through time. At what point in history would you like to stop and why?

After completing your application, be sure to:

  • Collect letter(s) of reference
  • Obtain a sealed copy of your official student transcript
  • Print out the Student Pledge: you & your parent must sign and return

Becoming A Project Stepping Stone Ambassador

If you are a Project Stepping Stone graduate, there is a way to continue your support - by becoming a Student Ambassador. Student Ambassadors are individuals who will serve as student leaders during the week of the program and beyond. You will have certain responsibilities during the program, that will allow you to demonstrate your current leadership skills and also gain new skills as an emerging leader. You also must print out the Ambassador Pledge and you & your parent must sign and return with your other materials.

Become A Project Stepping Stone Intern

PSS is now offering opportunities for you to serve as an Intern during PSS week! You must apply to be considered for these limited positions and you must also have worked as a former PSS Ambassador. As a full-time college student, you must also demonstrate leadership in the community and must be a team player - willing to train those around you, including PSS Ambassadors.
